NHIMA 2020 Health Data and Information Conference
Registration is now open for the NHIMA 2020 Health Data and Information Conference (formerly known as the NHIMA Annual Convention) which will be held on April 29 & 30, and May 1, 2020 at the Younes Conference Center in Kearney, NE.
The Conference kicks off with a panel of NHIMA members who have transitioned into non-traditional HIM career roles, followed by an introduction to ICD-11. Richelle Marting, JD provides us an update on hot topics that impact HIM, and Aaron Davis joins us Wednesday evening after our Banquet and coaches us on a winning attitude!
Thursday sessions include an update on Advocacy in Nebraska, Medicare and Medicaid Fraud Targets, and Terri Eichelmann, RHIA, Director on the AHIMA Board of Directors provides an update on AHIMA’s strategy for transformation. We end Thursday with networking sessions that will facilitate questions from the participants and an opportunity to meet colleagues! Friday is a full day of topics on clinical coding; in addition, 3M is going to demonstrate a Computer Assisted Coding tool.
A block of rooms have been held for attendees of the NHIMA Annual Conference at the LaQuinta and Fairfield Inn adjacent to the Younes Conference Center. The special rate of $109 per night plus taxes is available until Sunday, March, 15, 2020.
