e-HIM Roundtable Update   

The most recent meeting of the e-HIM Roundtable was held 1/21/10 via conference call. The team discussed taking ownership to revise sections of the NHIMA legal guide regarding new e-HIM related regulations such as ARRA and HITECH. The team agreed to take this on.

Four members presented a summary of an AHIMA Webinar they attended titled, “Data Replication Virtual Meeting: The Use of Copy Functionality in the EHR, presented by AHIMA” on 11/6/9. A summary along with the meeting presentation; Copy Functionality Toolkit; and Amendments, Corrections & Deletions in the EHR Toolkits will be presented to the board with hopes of being made available to NHIMA membership via this webpage.

The next meeting has not been scheduled; date, location and conference options yet to be determined.
